In the entrepreneurial-world, outsourcing is often seen as a way to grow and scale your business as quickly as possible.
Hiring a virtual assistant is considered a badge of honor, and is typically focused on tangible outcomes, such as:
+ Saving X amount of hours
+ Increasing productivity
+ Maximizing your reach
These results may be beneficial to your business, but leaving it at that can feel transactional, especially if you’re an entrepreneur who values meaningful connection and community.
Hi! I’m Lauren (she/her), and I believe that your (and others’) humanity should always come before things like analytics and conversions.
I decided to start my own business for this very reason. My mental and physical health were suffering while working in traditional settings that were more focused on efficiency and sales than the wellbeing of their employees. I knew I needed to find something that was more sustainable, but I wasn’t sure what that would look like.
After working in various support roles, and finding the VA world through my FYP, I combined my passion for helping others and love of small businesses to build Hey Lauren.
Little did I know that hustle culture and perfectionism were not just running rampant IRL, but also in the online business space. Thankfully, I connected with some incredible mentors and ~internet friends~ who encouraged me to always consider myself before acting on unsolicited and generalized business advice.
This is what I hope to offer each of my clients: a space for you to have your own process; one where you can make choices that not only benefit your business, but also support YOU.
+ Remind you that you can do life (and business) in a way that feels good for you
+ Help you build something that’s more sustainable for your business and you
+ Prioritize your present needs over what you “should” be doing
+ Validate your experiences and offer encouragement
+ Never pressure you to grow & scale your business
Whether you’ve been in business for 6 months or 6 years, a VA can help you along the way.
Regardless of where you’re at, and what direction you’re going, I can help you navigate the decisions you need to make to move forward.
Even if our time together is limited, I want you to feel confident in maintaining the systems I’ve helped put in place so you can preserve the sustainability we created together.
